Ohio Employment Lawsuit Seeks Class Action Status

Wooster, OH: An Ohio Employment lawsuit, proposed as a class action, was filed at the beginning of the year against an employer in the manufacturing industry. Various allegations against federal law and Ohio Labor and Employment Law statutes have been made, within the context of donning and doffing, and going unpaid for tasks mandated by the employer.

Professor Denied Tenure Launches Ohio Employment Lawsuits

Athens, OH A former assistant professor at Ohio University has launched a series of Ohio Employment lawsuits against the university and other defendants, alleging the denial of tenure at the facility was because of his sexual orientation and religious beliefs. The actions were filed December 18.

Ohio Company to Pay More than $2 Million in Back Pay

Campbell, OH A painting company from Ohio will pay more than $2 million to settle claims it failed to pay proper overtime and wages to workers involved in a painting job in Massachusetts. Although the painting company is from Ohio, the work was done in Massachusetts and the overtime lawsuit was filed by officials in Massachusetts.

Ohio Overtime Lawsuit Filed against Restaurant Chain

Columbus, OH A former waitress has filed an Ohio employment lawsuit, alleging violations of federal and Ohio labor laws, including failure to pay minimum wage and failure to pay overtime. The Ohio overtime lawsuit has been granted class-action status.

Defunct Sushi Restaurant Owner Pays $35,000 in Ohio Employment Restitution

Cincinnati, OH The owner of a popular sushi restaurant that once thrived in Hyde Park has closed the establishment in the wake of an Ohio Employment restitution order requiring him to pay thousands to employees over allegations of unpaid overtime and other violations to Ohio Labor Laws.

But as a recent Ohio overtime lawsuit recently in the news shows, even governments can get the law wrong. Meanwhile, Major League Baseball faces a lawsuit alleging it doesn’t properly pay its minor league players.

Cleveland Settles Ohio Employment Class Action with Municipal Workers

Cleveland, OH One can imagine a group of happy plaintiffs and class members, running down a Cleveland street and giving a shout-out with outstretched arms to “Ohio,” akin to every opening of the beloved Drew Carey Show. Only this time, the fist pumps are because they won their fight with the city of Cleveland. Yes, in this Ohio Labor Laws altercation between employee and employer, it was the city of Cleveland that turned out to be the bad guy.

Contractor Hit with Lawsuit for Ohio Employment Violations
