Submitted paperwork on 11-25-15 with claim, invoices and payment copy. Cost was 628.84. Sent copy and second request on 3-10-16 with copy to lawyers for plaintiffs. 1-5-17 no response or check. Been a Ford man for many many years. No more. Shopping for a new pickup 2017. Sorry Ford you are out. Your trucks are a bunch of crap. 2004 F-150 had bad plugs, cabin leaks, bad rear end and cam rollers, air bag indicators. I just do not have enough patience, money or tools to continue this charade. I doubt if we will ever get reimbursed by Ford. Tell every truck owner you know not to buy Ford.

    • Tim J January 14, 2017 at 12:57 pm

i sent the stuff back in 2015 too. Still have not received anything. I do not believe ford is our hold up. It the lawyers! Hope we get checks soon. Have you been able to find any information on following up with claim? Seeing if it has been denied?

    • Suzanne March 29, 2017 at 9:34 am

Same here! Bought Toyota, they fixed and paid for frames for their customers. I filled a claim three times, never even received a claim number, was told to use vin # , kept calling and finally got a letter of denial stating my vehicle isn’t part of law suit. I have a 2006 for 150 Triton, at 70,000 miles was 1st spark plug explosion, every few months it would blow, now piston fell in, leaving me to need engine. Ford is junk and they don’t care about their customers. Law suit is a joke, the lawyers are making all the money, I think it’s cheaper for the lawyers to hire people to answer our calls then pay us. I’m out over 7,400. I just agree with you, Don’t buy Ford.

    • james owen May 25, 2017 at 9:40 am

I HAVE SUBMITTED MY CLAIM TWICE . THEY SEND ME A THIRD LETTER SAYING I DID’NT GIVE THEM PROOF OF PAYMENT , BECAUSE I PAID IN “CASH” AND NOT A CHECK OR CREDIT CARD. WHEN DID IT BECOME ILLEGAL TO PAID IN CASH. I’M GUESSING MY WORD AND THE WORD OF MECHANIC DON’T MEAN ANYTHING TO FORD. WILL THEY WANT GET ANYMORE OF MY MONEY . IF YOU CAN’T STAND BEHIND YOUR PRODUCT , I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH YOU.

  • Nathaniel January 5, 2017 at 12:59 pm

Sent paper work in 2-17-2016 still waiting for payment .was thinking about buying Ford’s for my two kids maybe I better keep thinking.

I am the owner of a 2006 Mercury Mountaineer that has 102,000 mile on it. It had a misfire occasionally nothing to big so, I took it to my local mechanic for a tune-up, $375 they said for oil change tire rotation and Sparkplug change. Then, he called to say some of them broke off more labor may be in volved if they hafta pull the head. Total bill $2,557. $2,100 in labor. I submitted paperwork snail mail as well as online in March 2015 & still nothing. Would really like to be contacted with info update.

  • Lew January 16, 2017 at 11:10 am

Same here, mailed in requested paperwork for claim on 11/9/15…roughly 1 year and 2 months ago…..have received no response of any kind from Ford or anyone else regarding same as of this posting. Poor business if you ask me.

  • Dana Comes Last January 20, 2017 at 10:39 pm

Please respond to my complaints that I already emailed to you. Thank you.. Ford Co. Broke my spark plugs on my 2007 F150 Ford truck. I already sent copy of my bill plus labor & haven’t heard back from them. Total parts & labor $1300.00.

    • Suzanne March 29, 2017 at 9:53 am

I’ve been sending my receipts and all forms for this action suit since the beginning of 2015, never to be assigned a claim number, I sent all forms 3 times and called a lot to be told to use vin# so they can find my claim, finally I did receive a letter of denial, I sent an appeal but over 6 weeks ago and I haven’t heard back. I don’t think we will get paid. I’m out of over $7,400 on my 2006 f150 triton, I bought it 2007 New and 8 years later, it’s junk. I did send a letter with all my paper work to the president of the United States! But I haven’t heard back from him either! I wish you all luck, I feel lawyers are making all the money and the longer they deny us our claim we will give up. They are not paying claims to all and the one’s that are paid seems to be under $100.00 ,unreal. We are all distraught.

  • frank skinner January 24, 2017 at 2:18 pm

I sent in 2 times, no response or check. just purchased ram 1500eco

  • Gary Slaughter January 27, 2017 at 2:18 pm

I payed over 600.00 dollars for a set of spark plugs to be put in my 2008 ford f 150 pickup. They broke 2 plugs off .if ford puts in alumiun plugs to save a few dollars , then they should stand behind there products better 300.00 dollars is bad enough But 600.00 is unheard off.

    • Dale VanDyken February 3, 2017 at 7:41 pm

I also paid over $600.00 for plug replacement on my 2005 F-150. I filed a claim in December of 2005, and have heard NOYHING !!

  • Rodger Bingham February 2, 2017 at 1:29 pm

Garage broke off 7 of the 8 spark plugs when replacing. Had 122,000 miles when I had them replaced so suppose to qualify for a smaller refund. Got a document today 2-2-17, and looks like I do not qualify for any refund as a Ford dealership did not perform the spark plug replacement. WHAT A JOKE…….BOUGHT MY LAST FORD EVER….

  • maria jimenez February 2, 2017 at 4:50 pm

We did the same. Finally after numerous emails and a few phone calls (waste of time) we finally received a call back. All emails response were the: every claim as to be individually looked at. Our bill was over $600 and we recently received a check from the settlement of a whopping $56.00 and some change.

  • Taylor February 6, 2017 at 8:21 pm

I received my $22.79 check today for the spark plug recall from Ford. How insane is this
the only ones who came out on this is the lawyers and the dealers who installed the plugs Don’t get your hopes up for getting your money back

  • mike February 9, 2017 at 6:14 pm

do i have to bring my f 150 to ford dealer in order to be compensated or can i bring to my own mechanic ? i hate bringing to the deslership as its always a ripoff. this is my first ford truck and my last

  • Anthony Barone February 11, 2017 at 1:28 pm

Just got a letter in the mail denying my claim to have my spark plug reimbursement??? They said I didn’t use an authorized Ford dealership…..my mechanic opened his own place after working 20 years for Ford. Are you freaking kidding me????

  • Anthony Barone February 11, 2017 at 1:29 pm

Does anyone have a contact phone #?????????

  • michael riley February 11, 2017 at 6:50 pm

    • Scott March 13, 2017 at 11:32 pm

I have 155,000 on my 2005 you can have mine, refunds are too small anyway.

  • Julian February 15, 2017 at 4:12 pm

Filed my claim in Oct. of 2015. Ford dealership cost was over $1300.00 to have my defective spark plugs replaced. No reimbursement of any kind yet! Are the lawyers getting what the consumers are due?

  • Mark Redding February 18, 2017 at 5:31 pm

I also have sent in all my paperwork including a Recite from the repair center, and now Ford tells me they need a recite sent in for the settlement again. Silverado is looking better now

  • Billy Mooney March 10, 2017 at 11:41 am

I have contacted the attorneys who brought this case forward . They assured me my name was on the list with supporting paperwork. That was 5 months ago. Where is my check ?

  • Tyler March 11, 2017 at 9:08 pm

Got my check in the mail today $13.36…. Sounds like we need to open a case for the people and get our money back from the lawyers and dealers….

  • Tom and Linda McGuire March 12, 2017 at 7:34 pm

Yes was just checking on the status of our claim, we filed our in June 2015 the same time my twin sister did hers , we both owned a 2004 Ford f150. She received a settlement March 2017 for nearly $800.00 ‘s . We had applied about 2 weeks before her and she’s got her settlement . Was hoping you could give us a update on our settlement if and when it will be coming.
    Thank you
    Tom and Linda McGuire

  • Kevin Brown March 18, 2017 at 11:49 pm

Sent info in 2015 (2 yrs ago) – got a letter indicating they needed more information. They didn’t like how the repair shop marked that they received payment – but it needed to be postmarked by March 8th – AFTER I got the letter. Good way for the lawyers to get more money out of the deal!

  • Bob April 6, 2017 at 7:17 pm

Hello all. Today after 2 1/2 years(drumroll please) I received a settlement check for $68.52. What happened to the 250.00 dollars they originally posted. This was a lot of work and little result. My thought are that someone is working hard not to have to pay these claims. I’ve since sold my f-150. Good luck to you all. I hope it works out. BTW there is NO phone # to reach them.

  • yvonne kerske April 18, 2017 at 9:25 am

IV’E HAD THE PLUGS REPLACED ( FIRST TIME ALL 8 ) NOW 2 MORE BROKE REPLACING THE 2nd TIME, REPLACED ALL 8 AGAIN. WHY AM I NOT BEING PAID BY FORD FOR THE B.S. I’M GOING THROUGH, ALL I GET ARE THEIR LETTERS ASKING FOR THE SAME THING OVER AND OVER AND OVER, I HAVE GIVEN THEM WHAT THEY WANT TWICE, NOW ILL GET AN INDEPENDENT LAWYER AND COME AFTER THEM IF THEY DON’T FIX THIS REAL SOON !! I PROMISE YOU FORD …I WILL.

  • Eda Sue Wright April 27, 2017 at 1:01 pm

    I have not received reimbursement.

  • Brad Thompson May 1, 2017 at 8:59 pm

I would not recommend a Ford to anyone, they are a total ripoff, the Ford Company that is. I submitted everything on May 25th, 2016 for reimbursement and I have not heard a thing. I followed the submitting process to a T. Looking at other comments it appears that Ford wanted to do the work, but no place does it mention that in the class action suit. What a surprise.

    • Garry May 3, 2017 at 10:04 am

It’s a long process. We submitted ours the end of 2015 or very beginning of 2016 and February 2017 we received a check for $56.00 & some change. Our submitted receipt was over $600.00. We emailed and called prior to the reimbursement and was always told the same thing. The website didn’t really give update info.

I am in receipt of correspondence from the Settlement Administrator requesting that I submit an more that 120, 000 miles Declaration, I have submitted this document twice previously, I can’t understand why I have to continue sending this the requested data. I hate to say this, but I feel this is an attempt to stall with the hope that the complainant missed a date, and thus violates the requirement of the settlement. I will again file the declaration, please record.

I submitted a timely claim when my 2004 Ford F-150 spark plugs were replaced along with supportative documents and claim form but have not received a reply from the claim. Who do I contact to get my reimbursement?

  • Greg Rochelle July 31, 2017 at 6:45 pm

I filled out my claim and all the paper work sent a copy of my invoice from where I had the wotk done…Ford just sent a letter saying my claim wasnt valid due to the orignal not being sent. I included my reciept and a copy of the invoice. Ihave 30 days to respond… I will never buy a Ford again…. even after they say they did wrong they wont pay for repairs.

  • David August 21, 2017 at 3:36 pm

Does anyone know the name of the law firm? That’s the ones we need to go after!

  • Tim Montie September 3, 2017 at 5:59 pm

I had my spark plugs replaced for over $1200. I read the settlement online and sent in all the paperwork. The first thing I read didn’t say had to be done by a ford dealer so my claim was denied. They also had various other “reasons” why I was denied. A problem on their end is their fault regardless of where the problem gets fixes they should still take accountability instead of picking everything apart just to deny me. Bunch of bullshit Ford … Get it together!

  • William Luker November 27, 2017 at 5:16 pm

I think we should consider a class action suite against the lawyers that took our money and did not pay those all or any part of what was agreed to. I got a paltry $89.00. of the $300.00 owed me. I met a their requirements to the tee. Ford met their obligations, it was the lawyers who were hired to dispurse the money that failed in their duties and made alot for their lack of efforts.

    • Suzanne Coppinger December 29, 2017 at 8:51 am

I wrote and sent all paperwork to our president Donald Trump, I haven’t heard back and I still haven’t heard or received a check! They denied my claim and I resubmitted my paperwork, still not heard from them. It’s December 29,2017 . Unreal. I’m going to call the number listed 877-382-4357. Wondering if enough people write to our president, maybe we will get help?

  • William Luker November 30, 2017 at 2:17 pm

I have filed a claim with the federal trade commission on this and they said anyone who would like to file to call 877-382-4357. good luck everyone.

  • Paul December 21, 2017 at 4:09 pm

I just found out 2 days ago – we have Ford Expedition 2006 with 77,000 miles, I was never contacted by ford. Few days ago it started to hesitate so took it to my mechanic to replace spark plugs and coils. 7 spark plugs broke!!! Charged me over $750 + cost of spark plugs. I couldn’t believe that this was not rated as “recall” – this was definitely a bad design on Ford’s part. Than I found out that there was a deadline to submit the forms to get re-reimbursed. We do not drive the car too much so we only had 77,000 miles on this and who would have thought that someone would design a spark plug that BREAKS inside the engine. But it’s beyond belief that FORD would not take care of us – I have two FORDS! My next care will not be FORD.

  • john January 12, 2018 at 9:24 pm

Spent over 3200 to fix plugs, thrilled to see lawsuit for potential reimbursement considering my 2007 truck has completely rusted out, running board fell off and 3’hole in the bed, never again buying ford although always was. Just received letter denying claim, wrong dates and not correct data and wasn’t done at ford dealership. Didn’t have to be done at dealership, filed on time and within period of time- read about others who also was denied multiple times and checks bounced. Settlement lawyers doing all they can not to pay-complete BS! Looking at a Chevy now, almost killed myself serious fall when I fell getting in and running board fell off because rusted out bolts. Wont file lawsuit for that although it was significant damage to neck and back when hit parking lot cement.

I have a 2005 F150 4.6 Triton does this model have a spark plug problem

  • B.S Chisters February 11, 2018 at 8:34 pm

What a f’n joke.Someone needs to find out how much collusion was involved with the judge, lawyers, and Ford.I can only imagine the depths of deceit these mfers are/were invovled in.Totally f’ed the hard working man and made the time frames/no notice and pittance of money laughable.Sorry but not purchasing Ford in the future gives me no satisfaction to the criminal actions of the involved judges and lawyers for the plaintiff side.

  • Michael fitterling March 31, 2018 at 1:50 pm

I too sent in all the paper work for spark plug replacement . More than a year later they wanted more paper work I sent them a news paper article telling and showing of me house burning down told them I would send them some ashes they could look through . To bad the Ford was not in the garage when the fire started.

  • j.kyles April 4, 2018 at 1:15 pm

This lawsuit is a joke. I submitted my claim form before the deadline only to receive a letter 2 years stating that the invoice was not marked paid in full, it was not an estimate bill clearly showed all word was done and paid for. Letter requested that I resubmit a receipt showing paid in full but could not be had written, which was the only way it could have been since my mechanic has since changed computer systems. I received a second notice 8 months later stating that I did not meet the deadline for resubmitting which I know I mailed it in time. I am sending an appeal letter for my 2500.00 bill for my repairs, hoping I receive a refund.

Are Canadian owners of Mustangs considered part of the class action complaint?

  • Richard j miller September 17, 2018 at 11:35 am

09 16 2018 replaced 8plugs at ford dealer broke plug bill 800 dollars. This is second time. That bill was 400. For one plug and coil wire. The first time 70,000 the next 94,000. I have a leak in header because of broken bolt. The gas tank straps broke and the tank was dragging on road while I was driving. The truck is a 2005 5.4 v8 super duty.

I just had to put a new head in my 2005 F-150 4.6 this weekend 10/6/2018 because the spark plug blowing out & the Healy coil blow out after not one of Ford’s better moments. The frames R junk to.

  • Keith November 8, 2018 at 6:13 am

1999 Eddie Bauer Expedition 4×4 5.4, from 179,772 miles to 232,981 exactly 1 year driving Nov. 2nd 2017 to Nov. 7 2018 Drove from Dallas TX to Minnesota, I blew out #3 plug, had it sleeved, Dallas TX to Waco TX #6 plug blew out. Waco to Dallas #8 plug blew out, Dallas to Killeen TX #2 blew out so November 7th I put the Expedition up for sale, every call I get is have you sleeved the spark plugs, and when I say not all of them I still have 4 not done they hang up, say nevermind, so it hailed and my Expedition got hit, insurance comes out 3300.00 worth of damages, they want to write me a check for 600.00, and give me a salvage title….I say 600.00 !!! Yes because the value of your Expedition is worth 600.00 I said why, because of the engine problems Ford had …..I’ve paid almost 400.00 a pop on the spark plug sleeve repairs. 1600.00 to do the other 4 sleeves and the Expedition has a worth of 600.00…I cancelled the hail claim. I just bought the sleeve kit on line for 247.00 389-900 kit # and will end up sleeving the 4 cylinders this weekend. Total bull
