Some have likened the Icy Hot pain patches to such a scenario. Not only have they been found to foster serious burns, but also the adhesive can make them difficult to remove.

However, the last time she used a heat therapy patch she suffered burn-like symptoms. Many people who suffered injuries similar to Karen's are now considering a possible lawsuit against the maker of the patch, alleging they were not properly warned about the risks.

Many of these people were able to purchase the Icy Hot Patches even after they were recalled because somehow, not all stores have pulled the patches from their shelves. This means that many more people are being burned by a product they should not have been able to buy in the first place.

Chattanooga, TN It may have been little more than a month ago that Chattem Inc, of Chattanooga recalled almost two million boxes of Icy Hot Patch over concern for second, and third-degree burns. However, the TV ads are back on the air—assuming they were pulled along with the recall—leading one to assume that whatever issue was at play in allegedly causing these injuries, has been rectified.

However, as reported by nbc5i.com in Dallas/Fort Worth, Bender applied the patch to his leg just before bed—but soon awoke to painful blisters.
