$2 Million Settlement in LJ International Class Action
This is a settlement for the Securities/Stock Fraud lawsuit.
A lawsuit filed against LJ International in 2007 has been tentatively settled, based on agreement in which the Hong Kong based jewellery company will create a $2 million settlement fund for the plaintiffs in the class.
The class includes any person who purchased company common stock between February 15, 2006 and September 6, 2007.
The plaintiffs alleged that LJI had made material misstatements about the company's projected fourth-quarter and 2006 year-end earnings and net income.
