Fountain Valley School District

Fountain Valley, CA: (May-14-07) A.F. Brown Electrical Contractors, Inc. filed a lawsuit against the Fountain Valley School District, over the schools construction project. The company had been contracted for construction projects at Tamura Elementary, Fulton Middle and Plavan Elementary schools. The construction project was part of the first phase of the district's Modernization of Schools project, which was completed in December. The entire project had three phases and cost $39 million. A.F. Brown filed a claim of $163,000, comprised of almost $30,000 for indoor-light coverings plus fees for 135 days of delay in payment. In a settlement reached, the Fountain Valley School District agreed to pay A.F. Brown Electrical Contractors, Inc. $58,000 to resolve the construction project breach of contract suit.
