Wakely Associates
This is a settlement for the Commercial lawsuit.
Battle Creek, MI: (May-07-07) The Harper Creek Community School filed a construction malpractice suit against Wakely Associates, in connection with the firm's contract with the school regarding the $57 million bond project facility work. The dispute went on for over three years, but was settled when the Harper Creek Community Schools Board of Education voted unanimously to authorize a $387,500 settlement from Wakely Associates. Wakely, the Mount Pleasant-based architecture firm contracted to undertake the schools' project, was unable to deliver the services at the specified time leading to the dispute. The suit named Al Goudreau and Harold Boog as principals in the complaint. The agreement came two weeks after Harper Creek and Wakely agreed to a court-mediated settlement, but agreed to handle it informally in order to avoid any protracted procedures.
