Burlington, VT: (Apr-17-07) Fab-Tech Inc. brought a lawsuit against chemical giant, DuPont, over a coating made to line steel ducts used in the semiconductor industry. Fab-Tech alleged that DuPont sold the coating in violation of an agreement between the two companies, as the coating was jointly developed by the two companies in the early 1990's. The suit also accused DuPont of being responsible for Fab-Tech's investment in a manufacturing facility in South Korea turning out to be a worthless deal after DuPont violated an agreement and sold the coating product there on its own. In a settlement reached, DuPont agreed to pay Fab-Tech $1.3 million in compensatory and another $1 million in punitive damages. [MANUFACTURING: DUPONT CONTRACT]
