San Francisco, CA: (Apr-05-07) A settlement reached between VaxGen Inc. and the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) releases both parties of all liabilities associated with VaxGen's government contracts to develop and deliver a next-generation anthrax vaccine. As part of the agreement, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID), an HHS agency, has agreed to pay VaxGen $11 million under a development contract awarded to the company in September 2003.
