Tri-City Mental Health Center

Boston, MA: (Mar-28-07) A suit filed by the attorney general's office against Tri-City Mental Health Center, accused it of improper billing to government health programs. State and federal investigators found Tri-City Mental Health billed the state Medicaid program and the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health for psychiatric services that were never provided, or couldn't be documented. The improper billing occurred for more than two years, starting in September 2001 at a center in Malden. In a settlement reached, the nonprofit provider of mental health services paid nearly $557,000 to resolve allegations. [BOSTON HERALD: MEDICAL BILLING]
