Shalersville Asphalt

Burton Township, OH: (Mar-27-07) Burton Township filed charges against Shalersville Asphalt and its owner, David Ronyak in a bid to keep them from establishing an asphalt plant located within its borders. The township alleged that the plant would violate current zoning laws on the 73-acre parcel on White Road, owned by Richard Bonner, and the staying of the plant would be an effort to preserve those zoning laws. In a settlement reached, Shalersville Asphalt has agreed to pay the township $100,000 in cash and in-kind services. [NEWS HERALD: ASPHALT ZONING]
