Entercom Communications

New York Attorney General Eliot Spitzer filed charges against the radio broadcaster over kickbacks paid for radio airtime. The lawsuit claimed Entercom accepted what is known as payola in exchange for playing specific songs on its radio stations. Entercom did not admit any wrongdoing, but has agreed to a $4.25 million settlement. Entercom is based in Bala Cynwyd, PA and is the nation's fifth largest radio conglomerate, with 105 stations.
