APAC-Atlantic

Greensboro, NC: A federal lawsuit was filed against the highway contractor alleging improper testing at asphalt plants. The lawsuit claimed required tests were falsified to approve asphalt for road construction when it might not have been suitable. APAC-Atlantic will pay $2.25 million as a part of the settlement. It also requires the company to pay for any road problems caused by asphalt failure on 55 road projects under an extended warranty of eight years on interstate-highway projects and five years on others.
