Cleverlink Trading

Boston - The Federal Trade Commission filed charges against Cleverlink Trading claiming the company's lonely housewives spam violated almost every provision of the 2003 CAN SPAM Act. The case alleged the spam contained misleading headers, deceptive subject lines, did not contain a valid physical postal address and did not disclose that the e-mail was sexually explicit. Cleverlink Trading agreed to forfeit $400,000 in profits. (Sep-14-06) [INTERNET NEWS: CAN SPAM ACT]
