Radio Station Hot 97

The station ran a 'Smackfest' competition from April 2004 to January 2005 where two volunteers would engage in a slapping contest for cash and concert tickets. Attorney General Spitzer began investigating the legality of the competition which has since been pulled off the air. Hot 97 has agreed to pay a $240,000 fine as well as make a charitable contribution to the anti violence group "Safe Horizon" and run anti violence programming. (Aug-15-05) [NEW YORK ONE]
