This is a settlement for the Commercial lawsuit.
The town hired Florida Blacktop for a $4.6 million storm drainage project, but then fired them for allegedly incompetent work. The contractor then turned around and filed a lawsuit against Palm Beach claiming the town acted in bad faith in terminating the contract. Florida Blacktop, its subcontractor Telecon, and Pompano Beach will divide the $2.1 million settlement. (May-03-05)
