MTC

The Modesto based grocery supply company has agreed to pay the Business Software Alliance $200,000 for using unlicensed software. MTC admitted wrong doing and paid the technology hounds for using software they did not pay for. The BSA was created by Microsoft, Adobe, Symantic, and other to crack down on pirated software programs. It is estimated that 22% of software in the US is unlicensed and creates as $6.5 billion lost to software companies. (Feb-17-05) [MODESTO BEE]
