Ray Brent Marsh

A former crematory operator has pleaded guilty to dumping more than 334 corpses on his property. Relatives have reached an $80 million settlement. The cremator was giving the deceased's relatives cement dust instead of ashes. Under a deal with prosecutors, Ray Brent Marsh could get up to 12 years in prison. Marsh, 31, apologized to the families as he pleaded guilty to 787 counts, including theft, abuse of a corpse, burial service fraud and making false statements. Marsh told the family members that he could not explain what motivated him to discard their loved ones' corpses. "To those of you I have hurt, I apologize," he said. [11 ALIVE NEWS]
