LCD TV Wall Mounts Recalled

Reports of TVs Falling and Property Damage Prompts Recall

About 140,000 LCD television wall mounts manufactured by Milestone AV Technologies, of Savage, MN, are being recalled because the wall mount can crack when used with televisions 26 inches and larger or with televisions that include a DVD player. The television can then fall from the wall mount and pose a serious risk of injury to consumers standing nearby.

Milestone is aware of 28 incidents in which the mount has cracked and the television has fallen from its mount.

The wall mounts are used with flat screen LCD televisions. The recalled wall mounts are INIT models NT-TVM103 and NT-TVM104. The model numbers can be found on the UL sticker on the television interface.

The wall mounts were sold at Best Buy stores nationwide from June 2007 through December 2008 for between $60 and $90.
