Frigidaire Recalls Washing Machines

For the second time my top loader frigidare washer has sucked an expensive piece of clothing under the agitator needing to be cut out 🥺😡🤬and now it goes off balance using a small load. Are there any recalls i need to know about this thing is only 2 yrs old

In 2015, Edison Company was giving away these Frigidaire Front Load Washers to disabled and elderly at no cost. I have had nothing but problems with it since 2017. because it kept leaking large amounts of water in my Utility Room. Over time, I had a few plumbers come in with various excuses as to why it wasn't working but they wouldn't return my phone calls when the leaking persisted. Now my floor is corroded with a huge gaping hole near the back door and each time I've had it fixed over the last 3 years, it's leaked even more water afterwards. The thing is that it's sporadic and it would work fine for a few months then start leaking a few months later, so it's been this constant problem.


I had a repairman come in yet again a month ago and he said the drain pump was broken. He charged me $200.00 to repair it and he supposedly replaced it, but 3 days later, I had water pouring out of the machine from the bottom, as usual. He came back a second time claiming it was a string from one of my shirts that got caught under the rubber lining of the door, but the water was coming out of the back of the machine not the front. He left without fixing it and never called me back again, even though I texted and tried to call him several times. Come to find out this guy was a scammer repairman using a bogus company address.

This washer is a nightmare and the smell of mold and mildew that is constantly coming out of the inside of it and the stink on my clothing because of it has been nearly impossible to get out. In short, this washer is beyond defective and Edison gave I don't know how many of these to a vulnerable population.

It is unconscionable to think Frigidaire would knowingly give these machines to people already compromised physically, knowing the machines were defective. Now I find out the very part that was supposedly replaced is a fire hazard!!

If you have a Class Action Suit against these people, I would like to be part of it. If not, don't contact me because I know you need a certain amount of people to get some kind of justice in these cases and I don't have the funds for a retainer.

We bought the frigidaire steamer front load washer & dryer set through Aaron's Lease to own back in 2011 had paid them off 2 years later. As we was renting them the washer had to be fixed and so did the dryer we rented them brand new. I began noticing an odor in our clothes back when we got the washer & dryer but though it was my fault & not keeping the door open or pulling clothes out right away after being washed. Then I started seeing the mold on the rubber part that is on the front side of the tub and inside the rubber it would get mold. When I addressed it to someone at the rental center I was told to take a hot soapy cloth & wipe around it & inside the rubber and maybe take a little bleach and bleach it or run bleach through the wash cycle that didn't work at all I was even told to use viniger in the machine through a wash cycle to take away odor it didn't work & I have even use the cleaner that is out in stores for the front load washers & when ever my system tells me it needs to be cleaned I'd use that cleaner and still my washer has the mold issues & my clothes still come out smelly & mildew smelling. I am allergic to mold black mold to be exact & since we have had the washer & dryer I have battled major health issues.

fridgerdaire washer model # ltf2940fs1 series #xc81815914 purchased brand new in july 2008. spinn cycle had to be repaired several times and mold smell doesn't come out items, clean my washer regularly , spent hundreds of dolloar in repairs only had for 7 years brouht brand new. interested in class action suit
