BP Settles More Claims From Texas Refinery Explosion

BP, the second largest oil company in Europe, has settled claims with four workers who sustained injuries ranging from post traumatic stress disorder to limb and back injuries. The blast occurred in March 2005, killing 15 people, and injuring hundreds. To-date BP has settled nearly 4000 injury and property damage claims arising from the accident.

In this latest settlement, BP has been fined $50 million and has agreed to complete three years' probation to end a federal criminal investigation of the explosion.
