Bumble Bee Foods reaches undisclosed settlement reached in tainted foods lawsuit.

Lubbock, TX: (Jun-18-08) A settlement has been reached between Bumble Bee foods and its subsidiary, Castleberry's in a federal botulism contamination lawsuit. Emanuel Cisneros sued the tuna giant for damages linked to his children's extended illness. After being hospitalized in June of last year, it was determined that Marissa and Samuel Cisneros were among a number of people who ate tainted Austex brand hot dog chili sauce. The company recalled more than 80 products nationwide after botulism was identified and closed it's Georgia plant. The settlement agreement details will not be disclosed.
