Los Angeles, CA

Los Angeles, CA: (Mar-09-07) A police misconduct suit regarding Juan Catalan, who spent nearly five months in jail before footage from the HBO comedy "Curb Your Enthusiasm" cemented his alibi, was settled with the Los Angeles City Council agreeing to pay him $320,000. Catalan, 28, was arrested for the May 2003 slaying of Martha Puebla, 16, outside her Sun Valley, CA, home. Catalan told detectives he was innocent and was at a Dodgers game when the crime occurred, it was only five months after that that his innocence was proved by the footing that showed him at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles when the crime occurred.
