Markland Manufacturing Inc.

Santa Ana, CA: California State District Attorney Steve Yonemura filed criminal charges against the motorcycle parts firm for unlawfully disposing hazardous waste. Markland Manufacturing allegedly violated state Health and Safety Codes and the Water Code. Between February and April 2004, Markland Manufacturing dumped untreated hazardous waste from the company's treatment facility directly into the sanitary sewer.
