Kellogg, Brown and Root

Washington, DC: The United States filed charges against the company alleging procurement irregularities and overcharging to the Army. Kellogg, Brown and Root had a contract for logistical support of military operations in the Balkans during 1999 and 2000. The lawsuit claimed the company violated the False Claims Act concerning various purchase orders awarded to 10 different foreign subcontractors. Kellogg Brown and Root have agreed to pay the United States an $8 million settlement. (Dec-01-06) [ARMY TIMES: OVER BILLING]
