Seattle, WA: The Securities and Exchange Commission filed civil fraud charges against the embattled auto parts supplier and some of its former officials for allegedly engaging in accounting schemes to mask declining financial conditions from 2000 to 2004. Delphi executives allegedly misrepresented warranty claims as pension costs to improve financial results. Six individuals in the case agreed to settle the charges without admitting wrongdoing and will pay a total of $1.4 million in fines and other payments.
