LAWSUITS NEWS & LEGAL INFORMATION

Chester Realty Trust

Chester Realty Trust purchased about 30 acres of land on the former Mohawk Tannery site, which closed more than 20 years ago, but left behind hazardous waste from many years of leather treatment. New Hampshire's Federal and State officials have reached an agreement with the realty company to contribute to the cleanup of the site located in Nashua, N.H. The agreement will generate approximately $500,000 towards the cleanup of the site. In return, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State of New Hampshire will release Chester Realty Trust from any further costs and potential contribution lawsuits by other parties regarding the site.
