Town of Milton, MA

On July 28, 2004 reverend Henderson Brome of St. Cyprian's Church, Roxbury was stopped by a patrolman responding to a report of an attempted car break in. Brome was handcuffed and arrested, but was released from custody after approximately 15 minutes. Brome filed a false arrest lawsuit against the city alleging racial profiling and discrimination. The town of Milton has agreed to award the reverend a $50,000 settlement. (May-26-06) [LIVING CHURCH FOUNDATION]
