Isle of Capri Casinos Inc.

This is a settlement for the Commercial lawsuit.

Jefferson County in Missouri filed a breach of contract lawsuit against the company regarding failure to build a riverboat casino in Kimmswick. Isle of Capri Casinos claimed potential litigation, possible condemnation, engineering and construction obstacles, and lack of community support lead them to stop development plans. The casino company paid $250,000 in misrepresentation fines and was deemed liable for $4.5 million in damages in conjunction with a lease of real estate. After three years of litigation Jefferson County is set to receive a $14.35 million settlement. (Dec-09-05) [ST. LOUIS BUSINESS JOURNAL]
