Xcel Energy Inc.

The subsidiary company of Public Service Co. of Colorado has agreed to pay several electrical companies in California a $7.3 million settlement. The lawsuit was regarding the price of sales into California electricity markets from May 1, 2000 through June 20, 2001. $5.5 million in cash and $1.8 million in accounts receivable will be paid to San Diego Gas & Electric Co., Pacific Gas and Electric Co., Southern California Edison Co., the California Department of Water Resources, the California Public Utilities Commission, and the California Attorney General.
