A plane crash in a business district near downtown Anchorage has killed a child and injured four adults. According to Sue Rodman, a spokesperson for the Anchorage Fire Department, all five people were on board the plane. No people on the ground were injured.

The four people injured were taken directly to hospital for treatment, but Ms. Rodman did not have any information on their status or the seriousness of their injuries at the time of the report. However, at least one of the injured passengers was flown to hospital in Seattle, WA, according to Police Lt. Dave Parker. No information about the victims' names or hometowns has been released.

The crash took place around 5 pm on Tuesday evening. It is believed that the plane clipped the roof of a motel before crashing at Seventh Avenue and Ingra Street in front of a former car lot office, setting off a fire. No further information is currently available.
