A 64-year old woman was ejected from her vehicle, sustaining serious injuries as a result, during a Missouri car accident Thursday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident happened at about 10:30 Thursday morning at the intersection of U.S. 54 and Route BB, roughly seven miles south of Fulton. Hazel Struttmann, who was driving eastbound in a 2002 Pontiac, pulled into the path of a northbound 2005 Cadillac driven by 72-year old Roderick Stewart.

Hazel Struttman was taken by ambulance to University Hospital for treatment of her injuries. Stewart and his passenger, Ruby C. Stewart, were also both injured and taken by ambulance to Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

The Missouri Highway Patrol report indicates that Ms. Struttmann was not wearing a seatbelt at the time, however, Mr. Stewart and his passenger were. Both vehicles were totally demolished.
