Trophic Kelp and Glutamic Acid HCI Health Risks

Health Canada warns consumers not to use Trophic Kelp and Glutamic Acid HCI due to high levels of iodine. This is especially important for pregnant or breastfeeding women, and people with thyroid disease, as exposure to high levels of iodine can cause either hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism.

Hypothyroidism may cause infertility and heart disease. Hyperthyroidism may lead to stroke.

Trophic Canada Ltd. has recalled the product, and advised retailers to remove Trophic Kelp and Glutamic Acid HCI from their shelves. Consumers should return the product to the point of purchase.
