Pottery Barn Kids Announce Recall of Toy Chests due to Impact Hazard
Pottery Barn Kids, of San Francisco, California announced on June 29th, that they were voluntarily recalling about 5,800 "Cameron Toy Chests." A problem with the lid support system on the toy chest can cause it to fail, letting the lid fall and posing an impact risk to children.
No injuries or incidents have been reported to the manufacturer.
This recall includes the Cameron toy chest in model numbers 4825378 (Honey), 6252852 (Espresso) and 4825386 (White). The product name and model number is located on a label affixed to the back of the toy chest. Inside the lid of the toy chest is a blackboard and an extra storage shelf. The toy chests are made of American hardwood frame with veneer panels and measure 40 x 18 x 20" high.
Sold though Pottery Barn's Kid's stores, as well as though their mail order catalog and online, as well as through other retailers, the Cameron Toy Chest was sold nationwide from December 2003 through April of 2005. The price was typically $349.
