Explosion in Restaurant Injures 6


Cause not yet Determined

An explosion has destroyed a restaurant in Pueblo, Colorado and seriously injured at least 6 people. The injured were taken to hospital, 5 of whom were conscious, but there condition is not currently known. Four of the 6 injured were in the restaurant at the time of the explosion, and 2 were in next-door, including one who person who had become trapped. It took firefighters over an hour to free the person.

The cause of the explosion is not yet known, but a fire was still burning in the historic downtown district of Pueblo more than 2 hours after the explosion occurred. Brick, glass blocks and other debris were scattered more than 100 feet from the Branch In Restaurant where the explosion is thought to have originated.
