FF Acquisition Wheeled Goods Corp. Announces Recall of Go-Karts

The US Product Safety Commission in conjunction with Wheeled Goods Corp. announced on June 21st, a recall of about 10,000 "Yerf-Dog Go Carts" due to at least five reports of the suspension cracking, resulting in cuts, bruises as well as head and back injures. Clearly, the cracking of the suspension puts the rider at risk of potential harm and even death due to the reported loss of control of the go-cart. .

FF Acquisition Wheeled Goods Corp. of West Point, Mississippi states that the recall involves one and two seater Yerf-Dog Spiderbox series of Go-Carts. The go-carts are equipped with a full suspension and a 150 cc engine/motor. The date codes and serial number s for the unit are located on a metal plate located on the engine. Date and model numbers included in this recall are:

Manufactured in the United States, these models of go-cart were sold nationwide from July 2004 though May 2005 and sold for between $1500 and $1800 each.

The manufacturer states that consumers should stop using the go-carts immediately and contact the manufacturer for repair information. Registered owners, according to the company, will be informed of the recall directly from the manufacturer.
