St. Johns, CA: (Jan-04-08) Vince Casboni has been in the spotlight ever since members of the St. John Volunteer Fire Department voted to remove him for allegedly failing to follow orders twice during a sixth-month period in 2005. Sources stated that Casboni filed suit, challenging that vote, stating that he wished to clear his family name. Officials close to the case stated that the parties had reached a settlement agreement at the end of 2007, in which all charges were dismissed. Additionally, the Fire Department also agreed to accept Casboni's voluntary resignation and clear his record of all charges. Details regarding the monetary payouts were not disclosed. Casboni is currently an honorary member of the department and entitled to all the benefits and privileges associated with that status. [TIMES ONLINE: FIRED FIREFIGHTER]
