Legally Blind

Red Bluff, CA: (Nov-05-07) Red Bluff City Councilman Larry Stevens brought a lawsuit against the city and then City Manager Susan Price in April 2006, alleging that they violated his rights under the Americans With Disabilities Act. The suit claimed that though Stevens has some sight, he is legally blind. Records show that after filing the suit, Stevens left the City Council. Price had resigned her post not long after that. As part of a settlement reached, the Red Bluff City Council agreed to pay Stevens approximately $520,000 to resolve the 18 month long civil rights violation lawsuit.
