Hampton Roads, VA: (Mar-28-07) Fatima Laila Fortmuller sued Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) after a crash that happened in the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel in 2002. Fortmuller was stuck in typical tunnel traffic the day of the accident in February 2002, when a HRT bus slammed into the back of her Dodge Neon, sending her car into an SUV. She suffered a closed brain injury. After the accident, Fortmuller suffered from headaches, loss of smell, sleeplessness, and short term memory.
