Green Garden Township and Ferrellgas Inc.

Joliet, IL: (Mar-18-07) The Scardullo family sued the Green Garden Township and Ferrellgas Inc. after the death of Jessica Scardullo on September 9, 2000. The seven-year-old was in a Dodge Dakota being driven by her mother, Lynn, when it collided with a Chevrolet truck at 88th Avenue and Stuenkel Road. The truck was owned by Ferrellgas Inc. The suit alleged that Ferrellgas had been negligent and that officials in Green Garden Township had failed to ensure that the intersection, which did not have a traffic light or a stop sign, was safe. An out of court settlement was reached which would give the Scardullo's $1.2 million as compensation in the wrongful death of their daughter. [HERALD NEWS: INTERSECTION CRASH]
