New York, NY: Pfizer filed two lawsuits against the generic drug manufacturer alleging patent infringement of its cancer medication, Idamycin, and its antibiotic, Zithromax. As part of the settlement, Teva will pay up to $70 million to Pfizer, but will be able to continue to market idarubicin, the active ingredient in Idamycin, and sell its generic version of Zithromax.
