In March 2003, 350 hourly workers lost their jobs when the Delco Remy America plant in Anderson suddenly closed. A federal suit was filed against Remy seeking supplemental employment pay and insurance for a year after the layoffs. Remy has agreed to a $5.25 million settlement that will award each former employee a $15,000 settlement check. (Feb-09-06) [INSIDE INDIANA]
