In 1971, at the age of 16, Linda Burke was allegedly molested by three priests from a Maywood church. She claims the abuse continued for three years, until she was 19. Burke first reported the abuse to the archdiocese in the early 1990s. She was awarded a $125,000 settlement in 2004 and decided to come forward with the details of the settlement after seeing how the archdiocese handled recent allegations of abuse.
