Circle K store chain and Gurinder Ruby.

An $8 million verdict has been awarded to Arwa Farraj, a former Circle K store clerk from California. Farraj filed the suit against her former boss, alleging that he had cheated her out of a winning lottery ticket worth millions. Ruby tricked her into thinking that the Quick Pick California SuperLotto ticket she had purchased on Christmas Day in 1999 was worth $88 instead of $8 million, and then cashed it in himself, receiving approximately $2.56 million after taxes.
