Three Injured in Pleasant Hope Car Accident

A tragic car accident that occurred Tuesday in Pleasant Hope MO, has sent three people to hospital with injuries.

According to media reports, the Missouri Highway Patrol stated that 33-year old Sonia McCart, who lives in Cabool, was driving her 1994 Mercury van when she crossed the center of Country Road 558 while taking a curve. As her van crossed the road's center line she struck a 1983 Pontiac, in what was nearly a head-on collision.

Ms. McCard sustained moderate injuries and was taken to St. John's Hospital, the State Troopers said. Her passenger, 14-year old Allison Samuel, who also lives in Cabool, sustained injures, although they were not classified as serious. She was also taken to St. John's Hospital.

The passenger in the Pontiac, 49-year old Cathy Ann Clayton of Pleasant Hope, sustained moderate injuries and was taken to hospital also.

The Highway Patrol reported that everyone involved in the crash was wearing seatbelts at the time.
