A woman filed a lawsuit on October 20th over injuries sustained in a Missouri car crash that occurred in August 2009, according to the Madison-St. Clair Record.

Nicole Cravens was a passenger in Dominick Canterbury's 2000 Plymouth Neon in St. Francois County, Missouri, when, she claims, he failed to properly navigate a turn, resulting in a collision.

Cravens alleges that Canterbury "negligently failed to keep the Neon under proper control, failed to drive at a reasonable speed, failed to reduce his speed to avoid a collision and failed to keep a careful lookout," according to the news source.

Cravens contends that she suffered injuries to her neck, back, left arm, and legs and torso as a result of the crash. According to the source, she also claims that after the incident she became sick, sore, lame and disordered, and experienced significant anguish, in addition to amassing significant medical bills and "suffering internal derangement."

The suit seeks compensation of more than $50,000 on top of legal costs.
