SUV Crashes into House off Kansas Expressway

A bizarre Springfield Missouri car crash has ruined a family's home, located near the Kansas Expressway, and resulted in at least one arrest.

At first, the Ingersolls had no idea what had happened, and thought perhaps it was thunder. It was Jaimey Ingersoll's son who discovered the SUV in their living room. "I said, 'Was that thunder?' Then my son came back and said, 'Someone just hit the house!'" Ingersoll told KY3 News.com.

A black sport utility vehicle (SUV) , carrying five people, was traveling north on the Kansas Epressway, when it reportedly launched itself off the freeway near Nichols street, flipped twice, then rolled into the Ingersoll's living room. Luckily, the family of four was on the other side of the house when the accident happened.

Police arrived on the scene and arrested two men and two women who were passengers in the SUV. The fifth person, the driver, had taken off on foot but he is known to the police. Another one of the five passengers had a warrant for his arrest on a drug charge.
