Theme Park Injuries Occur at Disney's Magic Kingdom

In a recently released quarterly report, Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom said that an elderly woman with a pre-existing condition died in December after riding a carousel, while two other women suffered theme park injuries, AOL Travel reports.

According to the news provider, Disney said that the 77-year-old woman who died after riding the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel had a pre-existing heart condition.

"We were saddened by the passing of one of our guests when she became ill," Disney said in a statement to the news provider. "We again extend our heartfelt condolences to all of her family and friends."

In the second incident, a 71-year-old woman fell and broke her hip and shoulder after she rode the Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, the news source said. In the final incident shown in the fourth-quarter report, a 76-year-old woman fell and injured her leg on the loading platform at Epcot's The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Disney World reported a total of 24 guest injuries for 2010.
