Jayson Williams

A settlement has been reached between New Jersey Nets star Jayson Williams and the family of Costas "Gus" Christofi, Williams' limo driver, for the amount of $2.75 million dollars. Chrisofi was shot by Williams at the basketball star's mansion on Feb. 14, 2002. The criminal charges against Williams include reckless handling of a weapon and manslaughter. The civil settlement will have no affect on the criminal trial. (April-04-03)
