Marion County Medical Center

Two doctors at Marion County Medical Center allegedly submitted false claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare programs and some claims for services which didn't even take place. Marion has agreed to pay the U.S. government $3,750,000. A former employee and family practitioner, Dr. Kenneth Orbeck, was the whistle blower in the case and will receive $610,083 as his share of the settlement. (Jul-18-06) [WIS TV NEWS]
