Washington, DC A cancer drug that was fast-tracked for approval by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2008 for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer will have that approval revoked, the agency announced yesterday. The decision follows the recommendation by an expert panel in July that voted 12-1 to reverse the approval of Avastin for metastatic breast cancer.
